This print is a tranquil sunset view with paddleboarders at Bournemouth, Dorset.
Bournemouth Bay stretches for 7 miles from Hengistbury Head to Poole. All parts of it are different and interesting to see on a bike ride (15 miles there and back!). Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole have long interesting histories and are popular places to visit notwithstanding the wonderful numerous beaches.
Not all sunsets have to be dramatic. In fact, this one towards Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers and onwards to Poole in the distance is one of my favourites. It sets so gradually and romantically; like dozing off to a lovely bedtime story. Lots of couples taking a warm sunset stroll along the shore, holding their shoes whilst they amble and chat. The waves touch the shore like a cat lapping milk; it is so tranquil. I caught sight of two friends paddleboarding slowly into the sunset – the sea blending from blue to orange as it mirrored the sky and little tufts of clouds gathering in order to catch a little bit of colour for themselves too. A beautiful print for your home to remember wonderful moments.
