Southbourne Beach is part of Bournemouth Bay, which stretches for 7 miles from Hengistbury Head to Poole. All parts of it are different and interesting to see on a bike ride (15 miles there and back!). There is always something to do here and it’s a popular beach to visit.

In this print, I have looked to capture the simple, clean beauty of Southbourne Beach and across to the Isle of Wight, The Needles and the locally known ‘Polar Bear’ (the chalk cliff at the tip of the Isle of Wight can resemble this). This is the view from the Beach Lodges and Huts at Southbourne. Imagine waking up to that and diving into a delicious breakfast by the beach. Sometimes simplicity is all we need: a reminder of wonderful people and beautiful scenery.
