You will find the stunning and iconic Happisburgh Lighthouse on the beautiful rugged North Norfolk coast. You might not know that Happisburgh is pronounced ‘Hais-borough’ (first noted as Hapesburc in the Domesday Book of 1086); but did you know this fabulous red and white stripey beauty is the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia? It was built in the 1700s to guide sailors around the treacherous Happisburgh sands and sandbanks. I’ve really enjoyed playing with the light and shadow on my hand-drawn piece and it’s well worth a visit if you’re going that way.
