Paddleboarding at Highcliffe and Avon, Dorset.
Highcliffe and Avon boast wide soft sand and shingle beaches, dramatic coastline and promenades. You can walk all the way along to Mudeford from Highcliffe, admiring the changing landscape as you go. Avon Beach (between Highcliffe and Mudeford) offers gentle access into the sea and you can often stand out on the sandbanks that appear every so often. Restaurants, beach shop and watersports zones make it ideal for kayaking, windsurfing or paddleboarding.
Of course, best times for us are out on the water – on our paddleboard. Whether a beginner or more experienced, there’s nothing quite like gliding through the water – maybe bobbing over some wavelets, jumping (falling!) in, taking your dog with you, actually out and about in the action! The calmer evenings are especially nice as reflected in this image. Serene sky and calming colours as ripples ebb and flow.
